Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and those in the construction industry are at even higher risk than the general population. More than 340,000 construction workers in the United States have been diagnosed with heart disease. That’s why Hunt Electric partners with the American Heart Association to give our team members the tools to lead a more heart-healthy lifestyle.
A few examples of our partnership have included:
- Free blood pressure screenings at Hunt jobsites conducted by the American Heart Association Wellness BBQs where team members can learn more about cardiovascular health
- CPR classes
- Wear Red Friday to raise awareness and encourage everyone to consider healthy lifestyle changes
- Participation in fundraisers like CycleNation that support research, educational campaigns, CPR classes, and other lifesaving work by the AHA.
In 2026, we are proud to be a sponsor of the AHA Utah Heart & Stroke Walk and encourage everyone to join us in bringing hope and heart to the fight against cardiovascular diseases. The walk is on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City. You can donate to our team, Hunt Hearts in Motion, or register to participate in the walk here.
